Better Books was created in 2009 as a used bookstore and community center โ a comfortable space for readers and families in Kuwait to browse, read, return books, and enjoy family-friendly activities.
A community built around books
Kuwait needed a spacious, welcoming environment where readers could come together, discover affordable books, take them home, and return them for future reading. Better Books was envisioned as that relaxed space to read, connect, and attend meaningful activities. As of June 2024, we are operating online, and we plan to reopen in a physical location very soon.

- Christian and interfaith prayer groups
- Meditation and yoga sessions
- Toastmasters meetings
- Childrenโs fitness and karate
- Childrenโs art and crafts
- Free lectures on health and motivation
